Double Doodle Puppies

Minnie and Zwart are proud to present their first litter of double doodle puppies. Minnie is our beloved 3rd generation Goldendoodle (Golden Retriever cross Poodle) while Zwart is a second generation Labradoodle (Labrador cross Poodle) owned by Mel's mum.

The litter of 8 comprising of 4 golden boys, 3 black girls (one with white markings) and 1 black boy with white markings were born on June 23rd, 2024. The Double Doodles will be approximately 25% Golden Retriever, 25% Labrador and 50% Poodle. Double Doodles are a hybrid of the extremely desirable family dog breeds of Golden Retrievers and Labradors with the highly appealing non-shedding wool coat of a Poodle.

Minnie is a cream Goldendoodle with a teddy bear wool coat, and Zwart is a black Labradoodle with the same desirable teddy bear wool coat. However there is always genetic variation and possibility for a range of wool coat types, we are hoping the majority of the puppies take after the parents. Both parents have low/non-shedding coats guaranteeing their litter to have the same. These types of coats require regular grooming and maintenance. We give Minnie a coat trim about 4-5 times a year. This can be done by owners themselves, or the dogs can be taken to a groomer.

Both parents have been genetically screened by Orivet, and have come back as clear of most common genetic conditions. These reports are available to view on request. Minnie is approximately 25kg, and Zwart is smaller at approximately 20kg. The puppies will most likely fall within this size, which is also the average size of a small Golden Retriever.​

Puppies have been handled regularly from birth by our 3 children ranging from 2 to 8 years old. Both parents have had offspring that have gone into the therapy dog route, so we expect similar characteristics in this litter.

Puppies will be ready for their new homes on August 18th, 2024 and will come with a 3kg bag of Black Hawk puppy food, a blanket that smells of them and a toy. They will have had their first vet check and vaccination completed, and be regularly wormed.

A non-refundable deposit of $500 is required to secure the puppy of choice, with the rest payable by puppy collection.
